29-3-2009 Bauge and Awang in the ride for gold

French Gregory Bauge and Malaysian Azizulhasni Awang will compete in the Men’s Sprint final for the world champion title. In the final match for bronze, the spectators will admire Kevin Sireau and Shane Perkins.

In the semifinals, Bauge raced with his compatriot Sireau, defeating him by 2:0. In the other heat, during the final lap, Sireau had a dangerously looking fall. Fortunately, French didn’t suffer from any major injuries.

Similarly to Bauge, Awang didn’t need a decider to qualify for the gold medal match. The Men’s Sprint final will be the last event of the world championships in Pruszkow.
