Australian Leigh Howard turned out the most versatile contender and won the Men’s Omnium, during the last day of the World Tracks in Pruszkow.

Although he hasn’t even turned 20, during the Pruszkow world championships, Howard took as many as three medals. This most valuable one was grabbed in the Omnium, which consisted of 200 metres Time Trial, Scratch, Individual Pursuit, Points Race and 1 kilometre Time Trial.

Despite the fact, that he didn’t win any of the individual events, in each of them, he was classified at the top, which guaranteed him the gold medal. Howard will take home also two silver medals, gained in the Madison and the Team Pursuit.

The second place went to Canadian Zachary Bell, who also, without wins in individual events, gained one of the best results in each. A furious finish ensured Dutch Tim Veldt the bronze.
